Design Brief
Experiences will guide our intent to create our object that is engaging and cohesive for a family, promoting curiosity, creativity, and learning.
This project introduces us to design and create an interactive object for children aged 4 to 10. The object must be made mainly of plywood and have repetitive elements in its design. (Collaborative design practice and design research, design for interactive experience, basic and advanced wood manufacturing technology, lamination, material, process and safety factor)
This versatile cajon has different interactive design features, it has washboard, rain stick, drum stick, elastic string and the tounge. Each feature allows our consumer have a variouty interaction with the cajon. We also designed the object by following the cajon instrument so its mutilfunctional. It allows it to be use as a stool and save spaces for storage.
