This course concentrates on advanced wood product development, originating products through new processes, materials, and technologies emerging in wood industries. Collaborations in new product development with institutions, research centers, and progressive producers permited our exposure to the most sophisticated new wood developments. We This course concentrates on advanced wood product development, originating products through new processes, materials, and technologies emerging in wood industries. Collaborations in new product development with institutions, research centers, and progressive producers permited our exposure to the most sophisticated new wood developments. We generated innovative designs in the context of the most advanced manufacturing processes available.
Within a group of material and product designers, we explored into 100% natural based binder and our main new material - cork. We also experimented with a variety of natural based medium within the main material and try to create new material.
Throughout the making process, we were able to finally present our discoveries into a mix media based new material artifact - The Cork Clutch with leather feature.
